Ben’s Trailer Round-UP

March 14, 2013

pixelben

After an extended rest period where I did nothing at all I’m back for your reading pleasure, and what better way to celebrate my return then with the classic trailer Round-UP.

Behold the tasty video goodness for yourself!

BEYOND: Two Souls

So not only does Ellen Page take the spotlight but she is joined by veteran actor Willem Dafoe who also starred in the excellent 007: Everything or Nothing game as the titular villain. This time though Dafoe takes the role as genteel therapist who is the first to discover the strange relationship between Jodie Holmes (Ellen Page) and the supernatural entity known as Aiden that only she can communicate with.

Yeah, talking to a supposed supernatural entity tends to end with a session with the school therapist. I would know.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Hey! Hey, you liked the ship to ship combat in Assassin’s Creed 3 right? Well here’s an entire game where you get to experience all that again! Aren’t you lucky? And Look! Look, we know you like Game of Thrones so we made the protagonist look like everyone’s favourite incestuous smart-ass Jaime Lannister. ENJOY!

Mass Effect 3: The Citadel

Bioware at least knows that most fans were disappointed that their favourite characters from Mass Effect 1 and 2 didn’t get quite the send-off they deserved in Mass Effect 3. Members like Grunt had a disproportionately small presence compared with the ‘Scientist Salarian’. So it’s nice when Shepard is threatened by a rogue group of mercenaries in the Citadel. It’s nice to see his friendship run deep enough that with a moment’s notice all the cast from SR1 and SR2 versions of the Normandy rally around him. It looks to be a glorious swan song to the cast of characters that you have met and grown to love over the series. Apart from Kaiden.

PS All-Stars: Zeus

PS All-Stars: Isaac Clarke

So you know how hyped I got for All-Stars, but I can’t say the promise of new characters actually excites me.

God of War Ascension: This is Sparta!

To be honest we’ve had this joke coming for years, it’s only now Sony Santa Monica can capitalize on it. But that doesn’t make it any less awesome!
