Star Wars Behind The Scenes

July 3, 2012

It is no secret that we here at Huttstuff kinda like Star Wars. So when I found these pictures from the blog My Modern Met, I got well excited. I mean, look! It’s Princess Leia kissing! And C-3PO enjoying the lovely sun on Tatooine. Amazing.

Behind the Scenes of The Empire Strikes Back

I’m sure you’d agree that the Star Wars film series is a cultural phenomenon! There was probably a bit of pressure for all involved to follow up the first movie with a second and third. These photographs show a bit of the fun that actors Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher had while creating the second, The Empire Strikes Back, a 1980 production. Included in these photos are some incredibly entertaining, behind the scenes moments of what can be considered the best of the trilogy.

It’s great to see a relaxed side of the actors, laughing and joking while in costume. The photos give us a glimpse into the funny interactions that would never make sense according to the storyline of the movie, from a playful kiss between Darth Vader and director Irvin Kershner to Carrie Fisher’s giggling fit beside two Stormtroopers.

For all of you fans out there, the images can also be found in the 30th anniversary tribute book titled The Making of Empire Strikes Back by J.W. Rinzler.

I do know want to be ‘that guy’ but Im sure the last two photos are from Return of the Jedi, rather than the Empire Strikes Back :P see they didn’t go to tatooine in Empire Strikes back.
I guess the one with C3PO and the Umbrella could be from either A New Hope or Return of the Jedi.

Well spotted and very correct. I saw it too. I think the author of the original quoted post got that little bit wrong. But who cares – the more pictures the better!
